While it is the mission's long-term vision to construct a permanent and authentic Orthodox temple on the land now owned, in the near-term the mission plans to build a multi-purpose center to house and serve our growing community and take full advantage of the mission's beautiful 14 acres.

With gratitude to God, the mission has completed all approvals for the construction of its new 5,100-square-foot church facility. The mission community voted to recommend the project in July 2025, followed by diocesan and episcopal approval in August, and loan approval in October 2025.

Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2026, marking a major step forward in the life of the mission and the continued growth of Orthodox Christianity in Deep East Texas.
